Had to tell you bye today, so very hard to do,
but have a lot to say, I didn't say to you.
I have to tell you how I feel, now that you are gone.
I feel a need to let you know, so I can carry on.

I never really thanked you for being by my side,
when I paced the floor at night with something on my mind.
Though you never spoke a word, and never said for sure,
you know just by being there, made me feel secure.

Do you know how alone I feel without you being here?
How afraid I am, or just how much I cared?
Do you know why I am waiting, or do the things I do?
Is it a sign from God I need, to let me know you knew?

Are you happy where you are and healthy once again?
Do you miss me, as I do you, my faithful little friend?
Tomorrow will be a better day, they say to me you know.
And as I watch the falling leaves, I wonder if its so.
